DESCRIPTION:Sustainability\nWith many aspects of construction moving towards improved environmental and sustainable practices\, additional duties and responsibilities are being introduced with every trade. An overview of the different rating systems\, guiding principles\, administrative requirements and aspects specific to roofing will be discussed. Students will learn which specific areas of their work contribute to the overall sustainability of a project. \nLeak Detection\nRoofers will review old and new roof systems and the most likely cause of leaks. DESCRIPTION:This course will introduce the applicable Codes and Acts that govern construction in Alberta. Having the knowledge of where to locate and how to navigate and interpret these documents will provide participants confidence and experience in researching solutions within these documents.
