ARCA Forrest planting

Our Commitment

In 2023, ARCA took a significant step by purchasing 160 acres in northern Alberta and planting 166,000 trees. This forest is a cornerstone of our long-term commitment to environmental sustainability, and we pledge to keep it healthy and standing for the next 100 years.  In addition to carbon capture, our forests contribute to environmental preservation, biodiversity, and ecological health. Our members have embraced this initiative wholeheartedly.

Forest Management

To ensure transparency, a professional forest management company will provide annual reports, which will be available to anyone interested in our efforts to reduce carbon emissions.

The Forest Effect

Our trees will capture 3,600 tonnes of carbon per year.  Over the lifetime of our forest, we will capture 360,000 tonnes of carbon.

    2

Our members have always maintained a truly diverse workforce, and we are now helping them showcase this diversity, reflecting all groups within society.

    3

ARCA ensures compliance with CSA SPE-116 guidelines, providing leadership and direction for not-for-profit associations.
