With many aspects of construction moving towards improved environmental and sustainable practices, additional duties and responsibilities are being introduced with every trade. An overview of the different rating systems, guiding principles, administrative requirements and aspects specific to roofing will be discussed. Students will learn which specific areas of their work contribute to the overall sustainability of a project.
Leak Detection
Roofers will review old and new roof systems and the most likely cause of leaks. The roofers will examine both technical and experienced-based methods of identifying leak sources and learn how an established investigative model can improve chances of finding leaks.
