Class 201
This course will provide a basic understanding of blueprint and specification reading skills that will enable the roofer to read, understand and execute what is provided in the tender package.
Topics will include the different types of drawings, conventional terminology, dimensioning and scales and how project specifications relate and complement drawings. The trend of construction documents moving towards Building Information Modeling (BIM) will also be introduced.
The course will review a commercial set of tender documents enabling students to work through common details and identifying where answers can be located.
